Another marriage post.

Please see the chart:

The boy is 35 and still his marriage has not happened. No doubt cause for worry for his parents. This Q was asked on a social media website and I decided to examine it thinking of the pressure the guy's parents must be under.

First thing I did was to note the Ruling planets at the time I cast the chart, marking the beginning time of my examination (6.48PM):

Asc sign lord: Su
Moon stl: Ra
Moon sign:  Ve
Day: Su

Since this is a natal horoscope, I decided to check if the 7th CSL appears in the RPs, to check accuracy of the recorded birthtime. The 7th CSL is Rahu, which appears in the ruling planets, so I can proceed analysing the horoscope without rectification.

Is marriage promised? The significations of Rahu are as follows:
Position: 12
Aspected by X
Conjunct with X
Star lord (Sa): 2 7 8
Sign (Su): 2 10, Mo 12, 1

So Rahu signifies 2 and 7 from the marriage house grouping 2/7/11 so marriage is promised. When? We will now examine.

The dasha lord is Mercury: 11, 3 12; Ra: as above 1 2 7 8 10 12. Thus Dasha lord Me is signifying 2 7 11, so it is a very strong significator of marriage.

Lets say the boy has started looking for marriage around the age of 26, so from the year 2007 onwards, then we would have had the Ketu , Venus, Su, Moon and Mars Bhukti so far. Lets look at the last Bhukti that has passed, ie Ma. Mars signifies: 10, 5; Su:  2, 10. Mars is in the Sub of Rahu which is a strong significator of marriage. So technically the marriage should have been fixed then, but it has not. In such cases, Shri Shahasane advises us to select only that Bhukti that appears in the Ruling Planets. Since the current Bhukti appears in the RPs, we can stay with it. It is important to note that Rahu's sub Venus is also signifying the 11th house.

For Antaras too I decided to stick with the planets appearing in the RPs, Venus and Sun. So Marriage is likely to be fixed between 20th March 2017 to 7th October 2017.Look at the transit of the Su, the following dates would be key:

20th March to 30th March 2017
19th May to 27th May 2017

The last key date range is 30th Aug to 15 Sept 2017

Marriage delayed?

First let me outline the chart:

The question was about when the marriage of the native will get fixed. Since the chart is a natal chart, I decided to check if the 7th cuspal sublord (CSL) is correct, as it is possible that there is some error in the birthtime being recorded.

For this, I checked the ruling planets at the time and place of judgement, Pune and 12:06PM, they were:

Asc star: Mo
Moon star: Mo
Moon sign: Me
Day lord: Ve

The 7th CSL in the natal chart is Moon, which finds place in the RPs, so I can conclude that the birth time is largely correct.

The 7th CSL Moon is posited in the star of Venus. Its significations are:
Mo 11, 6; Ve: 9, 3,4,8

Even though Moon does not strongly signify any of the 2/7/11 houses, it does signify 11 at a planet level, so we can conclude that at least marriage is not denied to the native. Notably Moon also signifies the marriage negating 6 at the same planet level. Recall that houses 1 6 10 12 oppose marriage as per KP.

Then lets look at current dasha lord, Rahu. Rahu signifies:
Position: 12
Asp by Ju (9th): 4, 11; Ra: 12
Asp  by Sa (3rd): 10, 1 12; Ve 3 4 8 9
Conjunct X
Star (Ma): 7, 2 9 10
Sign (Sa): 10, 1 12; Ve 3 4 8 9

So Rahu does signify pro marriage houses, even though it also signifies 1 10 and 12. As per KP, planet and its starlord signify the houses related to which events will happen. But it is the sublord and the sub's star that determine if that event will be positive or negative. Thus to see if marriage is possible in Rahu dasha, we need to look at the sub lord, which is Me. Me's significations are as follows: 7, 5; Su: 7

So we can conclude that Rahu is strong to offer marriage to the native.

The ongoing Bhukti is of Ju. Significations: 4, 11; Ra: 12. Its sub is Ve: 3 4 8 9 at planet level and 10 1 and 12 at star level. So not only does Jupiter's sub not signify positive for marriage houses, it also signifies 1 10 12 which completely negate chances of a marriage happening in its bhukti.

Next bhukti is of Saturn whch signifies 10, 1 12; Ve 3 4 8 9. So not a single one of 2/7/11 is offered. A sub cannot give what the star does not offer. And as such we have to ignore the Saturn bhukti as well.

Next is Me bhukti. Me is a strong significator of the 7th house as seen earlier. Now we only need to see its Sub. Unfortunately, Me is in the Sub of Saturn which as we saw in the preceeding paragraph opposes marriage. So we cannot consider Me bhukti either.

The next is Ketu. Ketu's significations are as follows:
Position: 6
Asp X
Conjunct X
Star (Ve*): 3 4 8 9 (*Ketu is in its own star hence the sub will assume role of star lord)
Sign (Su): 7; Mo 6 11

Ketu's sub is Ve: 3 4 8 9 at planet level and 10 1 and 12 at star level. Again we have to exclude Ketu.

Next Bhukti is Venus, which does not signify 2/7/11 at all. So again, marriage will be denied.

The next Bhukti is of Sun. Sun is in the Sub of Venus, so again marriage is not possible.

The next Bhukti is of Moon. Moon signifies 6 11, 3 4 8 9 and its sub is Ketu which does signify the 11th house. Albeit weakly. So marriage is possible here.

The last Bhukti is of Mars, which signifies 7, 2 9 10; Mo 11 6 and its Sub is Me: 7, 5; Su: 7. Again Mars is a very strong significator of marriage.

Which one to choose then? For this guidance I again looked to the RPs. Moon appears twice among them and Mars does not. So I concluded that the marriage, if at all, will happen during Ra dasha and Moon bhukti which runs from May 29 2028 to November 28, 2029.

Looking at the transits of this period, I think June-August 2028 is the period when the marriage might get fixed.

Will I lose my job after corporate reorganization?

This question comes to me from a gentleman whose employer is an MNC and is seeing some corporate re-org. His Q to me was if he would lose his job due to the same,. The period for this re-org was between July 1 2016 to Sept 30, 2017. He gave a seed of 99 and  I proceeded to cast a chart as follows:

Moon signifies the houses 11, 5, 8, 12, which corroborate the question that the native is asking, I.e. loss of job by means of retrenchment.

KP says that if the 10th cuspal sublord signifies the houses 3/5/9 then loss of job is possible if the Dasha lord also signifies one of the 3/5/9 houses.

The 10th CSL is Venus, which is itself posited in the 5th house and signifies the 3rd house by sign ownership.

The ongoing dasha is of Jupiter. Jupiter signifies 5th cusp by ownership and is in the star of Venus which signifies 3,5 as stated above.

Thus loss of job is clearly indicated.

To find out the timing, I decided to use Nadi methodology. The Nadi significators are as follows:

2 6 10 11 houses are positive for job. Job loss occurs due to combination of 5 8 12/ 6 8 12. Combinations 5 8 and 6 8 are also job negative.

A cursory glance to the significators suggests that barring Saturn, Sun and Venus, all planets are negative for job. Their negativity in a roughly descending order of strength is as follows:

Mo, Ma, Ra, Me, Ke, Ju

The current Dasha lord is Jupiter and Bhukti lord is Mercury. Notably, these planets also appear as the Ruling planets at the time of judging the chart:

Asc signlord: Mars (in star of a retrograde Jupiter, hence ignored)
Moon star: Ju
Moon sign: Me
Day lord: Ve (Venus does not offer job loss, hence ignored)

So job loss is possible in current DB of Ju-Me which runs till April 2017.

Regular blog readers may wonder why I have taken Ju even though it is retrograde. The reason is that it is in the star and sub of direct planets. Jupiter being retrograde means it is only postponing the event till it goes direct. Jupiter goes direct sometime in May 2016. Since the native has already clarified that the even can only occur after July 1, 2016, Jupiter's current retrograde status does not matter much to us.

I have found 3 key periods using Nadi transits for the event to happen:

27/ July to 11/ Aug when Jupiter, Rahu and Mercury are conjunct in one sign, within this the key dates are 5/Aug to 9/ August.

20/ Aug to 10/ Sept when Saturn aspects 6th cusp and Me/Ju aspect 8th, within this the key dates are 20th Aug to 26th August.

18/ Sept to 30/ Oct when Jupiter aspects 8th, Mars aspects 12th and Saturn aspects 6th, within this the key dates are 11. Oct to 20/ Oct.

May Bhairavi give the native whatever is best for him!

Aamir Khan to be made brand ambassador for Jal Yukt Shivar?!

There was some excitement on twitter this morning when a rumour circulated that the actor Aamir Khan was to be appointed as the brand ambassador of Maharashtra government's Jal Yukt Shivar programme.

This struck many people as absurd in the light of the recent coverage given to some of Aamir jis views about India itself. So I decided to ask the stars (the real ones, not the fake ones) if this news was true or not. I cast the following chart:

The ongoing DBA is Mar-Sat-Sat. Mars is neutral (though it signifies 7 8) in the rumour matter. But Saturn clearly signifies 3 8 12 between its nakshatra and planet. This suggests the news is false!

In fact the presence of Mars along with Saturn suggests that this isnt just any false news, but maliciously planted.

We can reconfirm using KP. The 3rd CSL is Venus. Venus is aspected by Saturn making the news false and also by Mars making the falseness 'mischievous' or 'malicious',

When will my son get a divorce?

The question is asked by a mother wrt her first child, hence the chart is rotated to make the 5th house the ascendant.

Another esteemed astrologer has analysed this horoscope earlier and given a date of April 2017 for the divorce to materialise. The proceedings have been going on for 18 months now and no end is apparent, hence the Q. The date as predicted by my friend makes sense as it falls in the Bhukti and Antara of Mars.

The 9th house falls in Mars ruled Aries. The 9th cusp is empty and the house lord Mars has no planets in either its own stars or subs. This makes Mars a very strong significator of the 9th house. As per Shahasane, in case the divorce is already in a court, then the decision will come in the DBA of a significator of the 9th house. As such, I am confident that my friend has sound logic in coming up with this date.

While I defer to his opinion, I am putting this case study here as an academic study as I have a different take on the issue.

First I checked if legal separation is indicated in the chart. For this to happen, the 7th CSL must have some connection to either Ju/Me and signify the 3rd cusp.

The 7th CSL is Venus, Venus is in Mercury's sub. Venus is in 12th house and owns 10th and the 3rd house, thus there is the 'possibility' of legal separation indicated in the horoscope. However, it is interesting that its starlord Me signifies 12, 2 and 11, which are cusps that supportive of the divorce not happening.

In addition the ongoing dasha if of Ketu. Ketu's significators are as follows:
Position: 7
Aspected (Me): 1, 2 11; Mo: 8 12
Conjunct with nothing
Star lord (Sa): 3, 6 7
Sign (Ju): 12, 5 8; Ke: 7

Avid readers of my blog will see why I have a difficult time seeing a divorce happening in the currently predicted time frame. Neither the 7th CSL nor the current Dasha (runs till June 2021) screams divorce at me, despite the matter being in the court.

I agree that the 8 12s in the dasha show that the couple has separated and there are fights, but there are enough 2 7 11s signified by the dasha lord and even by the 7th CSL.

So it may well happen that the divorce goes through on the date as predicted by my friend, but I would not have predicted it happening for another 5-6 years atleast.

Jail for a prominent politician?

There is a prominent case going on currently regarding the alleged fraudulent misappropriation of land belonging to a newspaper by the members of a prominent political party. While the case if being fought at many levels, I was surprised when an aunt asked me today if the most prominent among the accused would go to jail, whether in this case or any other. I asked her for a seed and calculated the chart below:

KP gives us three rules in the 6th Reader to apply if a person is going to go jail:
1) 12th CSL has to be Rahu
2) Rahu has to be in the star of a direct planet
3) Rahu has to signify 2/3/8/12

As can be seen from the chart above, Rahu is indeed the 12th CSL. Rahu is in Uttara Phalguni nakshatra which is owned by the Sun. The Sun is never retrograde. So the first two conditions are satisfied. Now let us look at the significations of Rahu:

Posited: 12
Conjunct with Jupiter: 12, 4 8; Sun: 5 12
Aspected by Saturn: 3, 5, 6; Mer: 4, 1, 10
Starlord Sun: 5 12
Sign lord Sun: 5 12, 2 3 8

As we can see Rahu signifies the entire combination of 2 3 8 12 and as such we can say that all the three conditions have been satisfied.

But when?

Current Dasha is of Mercury. Its significations are: 4, 1, 10; Sun: 5, 12. Me's sublord is Saturn which strongly signifies the 3rd house. So of the required houses, Me is signifying 12 and its sublord is confirming with 3rd. So event can happen in Mercury.

Interestingly, in cases of doubtful planets I prefer looking at the Ruling planets to check if the relevant D/B/A lord appears among them. At the time of studying the chart, the following were the RPs:

Asc sign lord: Sun; Moon star: Mer; Moon sign: Ju; Day lord: Venus

So now it is confirmed that this event can happen in the current Dasha. However the current Dasha runs till April 2025, so we need to pinpoint this further.

The current Bhukti lord is Moon. Moon signifies 7, 11; Mer 1,4, 10. So Moon is actually signifying houses that would keep the person out of jail. So one should not be surprised if the accused won small victories in this Bhukti. But alas all good things must come to an end and the bhukti will end on Sept 30, 2016.

After this the next dasha is of Mars. Mars signifies 2 3 8; Ju 12, 4 7. Mars is in the sub of Ketu. The significations of Ketu are as follows:

Position: 6;
No conjunctions
Aspected by Jupiter 12, 4 8; Sun: 5 12
Starlord Jupiter 12 4 8
Signlord Saturn: 3, 5, 6; Mer: 4, 1, 10

So Mars is also supportive of jail time at all three levels. So this event can come to pass in its Bhukti which will run from 1st Oct 2016 to 28 Sept 2017.

The first three antaras in this bhukti are of Mars, Rahu and Jupiter. All these are in the RPs and are strong significators of the relevant house(s) 2 3 8 12. So event can happen before 1st Feb 2017.

Now I will look for Sun's transit through the sign/ star combination of RP's.

Sun passes through Me Ma: 10th Oct 2016 to 17 Oct 2016
Through Ve-Ma: 18th Oct to 23 Oct 2016
Through Ve-Ju: 6th Nov to 16th Nov 2016
Through Ma-Ju: 17th Nov to 19th Nov 2016
Through Ma-Me: 2nd Dec to 15th Dec 2016
Through Ju-ve and Ju-Su: 28th Dec 2016 to 13th Jan 2017.

After this Sun moves into Saturn signs (Sa not part of RPs) and emerges only after the relevant Antara's are over. So we can broadly say that the jail sentence will be pronounced between 10th Oct 2016 and 13th Jan 2017.

I think the chances of it being in December or Jan 2017 actually are quite high, especially around Jan 7, 2017.

Will Sonia Gandhi's leave petition in SC be successful tomorrow?

As per some news I read on Twitter, the erstwhile ruling dynasty that is currently embroiled in the National Herald case has filed a special leave petition in the Supreme Court and it is due for hearing tomorrow.

I asked a Q: Will the special leave petition filed by the family be successful? and chose the number 209 as the seed. The chart was cast at 20:47:54, Pune on 11th Feb 2016.

I am unable to upload the chart and the Nadi significators at this point (technology!) hence have given the chart details.

Assuming that the SLP is in the form of N.O.C. from the court, the 3rd CSL should signify the 11th cusp to be successful. The 3rd CSL is Mercury. Mercury is posited in the nakshatra (star) of Sun. Mercury is placed in the 12th house and owns the 5th and 8th. Sun is placed in the 12th house and owns the 7th house. As such Mercury signifies: 12, 5 8; 12, 7. Thus the 11th cusp is NOT signified and thus if the SLP were in the nature of a 'permission', it is clear that it will NOT be successful.

If the SLP is to be considered in the nature of a contest, then our attention shifts to the 6th CSL. The 6th CSL is Rahu. The following are its significations:

Posited: 7
Conjunct (Ju): 7, 2 11; Su: 7, 12
Aspect (Sa): 10, 1 12; Me: 5, 8, 12
Starlord (Su): 7, 12
Sign lord (Su): 7, 12; Ma: 9, 3 10

So while the 6th CSL does indeed signify the 11th cusp, it is clear that the 8th and 12th cusps are more strongly signified. This suggests an insult and loss instead of a victory. Interestingly the 11th CSL is also Rahu. It should be remembered that Rahu is a natural malefic. So again even if we consider the SLP as a contest, it will not be successful for the family.

I decided to verify this using Nadi methodology. The relevant DBA is Sa-Ve-Ju, the significators are as follows:

Sa 1 10 12; 5 8 12; 4 9 11

Ve 4 9 11;  7 12; 3 9 10

Ju: 2 7 11; 7 12; 2 6

At the outset itself we can see that the Dasha lord Saturn is extremely negative for the family with 8 12 in the star level and 12 at the planet level. Solitary 11 in the Sub level wont be able to do much. Notably the 9th house is a maraka for the 10th house of reputation.

The Bhukti lord is neutral. It has 10 and 11 but they are separated by the 12th signification at the star level. Again there are 9s signified.

The Antara lord is negative due to the 6 12 combination.

So as per Nadi as well we can see that the petition will not be successful.

What struck me as interesting was the Saturn that appeared in the Ruling Planets at the time of judgement (Moon Star lord). In my limited experience, Saturn appearing in the RPs suggests that the judgement will be delayed. So it is quite possible that the matter may be taken up later than as currently scheduled. But the outcome will be a failure of the family.

When will balance money come?

This is in continuation to an earlier post, in which I had analysed the Q of investment for a client. As predicted in that post, the investor did actually invest in the business. But he did not bring the full commitment, but a part 25% of the amount.

So I was surprised when the client called me back and asked me to check if the investor would invest his balance commitment. Surprised because, if he does not then he will have forfeited his initial 25%, so its in his interest to invest the full amount.

Anyway, so I cast the chart and I was extremely surprised by the result!

The primary cusp for receiving money from someone is the 6th, since the 6th is the 12th for the 7th and its logical that unless the opposing person faces an outflow, how will the native get money.

The 6th cuspal sublord is Ketu. Ketu is posited in the star of Jupiter. But Jupiter is retrograde!

I quickly checked if another planet was also in the star of a retrograde planet, but no! So ONLY the 6th CSL is in the star of a retrograde Jupiter. Suggesting that the matter governed by the 6th CSL will not come to pass.

As such I was constrained to tell my client, "I am surprised with the result myself, but, your investor will not invest further in your venture"

Till date the money has not come in, and as mentioned in the earlier post, it has to come in before the end of Feb.

Medical diagnosis

This is the Prashna chart of a young lady which a friend referred to me in the context of whether she would be hospitalised and what line of treatment should she undertake.

First let us analyse what exactly is wrong with her. The prime house of illness if the 6th, and the 6th CSL will tell us what we need to know about the nature of her affliction.

The 6th CSL is Mercury. Mercury is posited in the 4th house and in a star owned by the Sun. Sun is posited in the 5th house. Notably, the 6th CSL is at 29 degrees in Sagittarius sign suggesting that this infection is in lower part of the chest (towards stomach).

The ongoing DBA is contains Rahu as the Antara lord which suggests that the doctors first diagnosis may be incorrect and additional tests must be run. This conclusion is supported by the appearance of Me as the 6th CSL and I urge the lady's family to take a second opinion w.r.t. the illness.

Mercury is in charge of lungs and the breathing mechanism in humans. It is posited in the 4th house which is also indicative of the problem being in the chest area.

Mercury is in Sun's star. Sun is based in the 5th house, again suggesting the heart and chest area, though slightly lower than the lungs. However, I applied the heart's pumping action to Sun's karakatva to mean that there is some issue with the ability of the girl's lungs to pump as usual. This would likely result in shortness of breath and fatigue.

Can the chart tell us more about the affliction?

6th CSL Mercury is conjunct with Venus. I am not able to immediately associate Venus with the diagnosis I have carried out so far, except perhaps it is suggesting that the affliction has spread to the throat region.

Me's starlord Sun is conjunct with Moon. Moon is a cool natured graha and is also in charge of the fluids in one's body. Notably, Moon is also the karaka for the breast region in case of women, this is again suggesting the chest area as seen above. This may suggest cold congestion in her chest caused by excess liquid/water/fluid secretion in the lungs. Notably, Sun is aspected by Saturn using its 3rd drushti. Saturn is prime karka for arresting the flow of things. So perhaps it is this fluid related congestion that is causing lung(s) to collapse?

In fact it is interesting to note that Jupiter aspects Mercury by its 5th drushti. Jupiter is in charge of growth so in case of diseases one can attribute it to Cancer. But in this case I interpret the growth to mean growth in fluid that may be flooding the lungs of the girl.

Jupiter is conjunct with Rahu which also aspects Mercury. Rahu again brings to question the ability of the doctor to diagnose the illness correctly the first time. While I have not read any literature, my extremely limited personal experience attributes Rahu and Ketu to viruses/ bacteria/ pathogens that cannot be seen with the eye. As such I am inclined to say the girl is has some potent infection that is causing this trouble.

The 6th CSL posited in a fire-y sign and in the star of Sun, suggests that the girl is probably running a very high fever as well. The Dasha lord being Mars also supports the thesis of the symptoms being of an acute nature.

What about the cure?

The Dasha lord Mars is posited in the star of Jupiter. Jupiter is posited in the 12th house which suggests that the patient must be moved to a hospital immediately.

The Bhukti lord Rahu is also posited in the 12th house, supporting the contention that hospitalisation should happen.

However, the Antara lord Saturn is posited in the star of Mercury which signifies houses 2 and 4, preventing hospitalisation from happening. This much needed hospitalisation will be delayed till the next Antara of Mercury.

While Me itself signifies 2 and 4, it is posited in the star of Sun that signified 5 and 12...hospitalisation will happen after 27th of February 2016, if the patient and her family members are left to their own volition. In my opinion the patient should be hospitalised immediately.

As far as the final cure is concerned, I will only put the Nadi significators and my readers should be able to glean the result if they have followed by blog for sometime:

Is my business partner cheating me?

This was a Q asked by a friend who has been facing issues from a business partner on a project. The following chart was cast by me on the seed of 86:

As per K.P., if the Dasha lord is a significator of the houses 5/8/12 and the sublord of the Dasha lord is also a significator of the 5th house then the native can get fooled by his partner in this dasha.

The Dasha is of Ketu. Its significations are:
Position: 7,
Aspected by Ju: 1, 5 8; Su: 1 6
Conjunct with nothing
Star lord: Ju 1, 5 8
Sign lord: Sa 4, 6 7; Me 11 2 5

So Ketu does signify not just the 5th house but also the 8th house.

Ketu is posited in the sub of Venus. Venus is posited in its own star hence we will substitute its sublord Jupiter to be its star lord.

Its significations are:

Ve 5, 3 10; Ju 1, 5 8

So both conditions are satisfied for the native to be cheated.

Lets look at Bhukti lord Saturn.

Saturn: 4, 6, 7; Mercury: 5, 3 11

So the Bhukti of Saturn is very positive, i.e. it will be difficult for the native to get cheated by the partner in this Bhukti. Either the partner will not get an opportunity or then he might be caught or the amount of cheating will be negligible.

The current Antara is Venus. As seen earlier, Venus signifies 5, 3 10; Ju 1, 5 8, so again the Antara is bad for the native. This means that the partner will cheat, but native may not face a major loss due to it if he is vigilant. However due to the unfavourable Dasha, the native will have to ALWAYS remain on his toes while dealing with this person.

So why does he not break the partnership?

I examined this question, because as astrologer is not a stenographer or translator, he is an interpreter of the divine guidance is coming the way of the native. So if I would have answered a terse, "yes", to the prashna, I would have done my job but not my duty.

K.P. says that a partnership breaks if the 7th CSL is the significator of 6/ 12. If the 7th CSL is the significator of the 6th, the opposition takes the lead in breaking the partnership. If 7th CSL is the significator of the 12th, then the native himself takes the initiative in braking the partnership.

The 7th CSL here is Venus. As seen earlier, Venus signifies 5, 3 10; Ju 1, 5 8. It is not signifying either 6 or 12, hence the partnership is unlikely to break. This indicates that despite putting the native under stress, the partner has some leverage that will cause the partnership to remain. This suggests that the native should not push for a gambit where he offers the partnership as sacrifice, such a gambit would likely fail.

Now lets see the original Q from a Nadi perspective:

It shows a similar result. The Dasha lord has 5 8 in both star and planet. Bhukti lord is positive, This bhukti goes on till Oct 3, 2016, which is the saving grace as that comfortable covers the duration of the project.

But all other planets (perhaps barring Sun) are unfavorable. In fact Moon, Rahu, Jupiter contain the full combination of partner cheating (5 7 12/ 6 8 12).

So the period the native needs to be extra vigilant is: April 14th 2016 to August 10, 2016. The period between 10th June 2016 to 10th August 2016 is the key period even within this as it comes under Rahu and this time the the native' prashna chart will be under the influence of three malefics- Ketu, Saturn and Rahu.

So will the partnership be ultimately profitable for the native?

In K.P., success in partnership is determined by the 7th CSL again. Since Venus (7th CSL) strongly signifies 8 and 10 we can say that the native will profit from the project less than what is expected and the partner might profit more than what is expected.

Hence native should try to take advantage of the favourable dasha and complete the work but be prepared to take a some scale back of profit expectations at the cost of the partner benefiting more.

Also the following planets suggest combinations of 3 6 8/ 3 6 12 :Ke Su Ma Mer

Hence I would advise the native to keep complete control of the documentation and not sign a shred of paper without reading it forwards and backwards.

Not having a medical background can make this very difficult. But a friend of mine is facing several health related issues, the unique case that I had outlined earlier. Finally I received word that the doctors had isolated the condition and it was mitochondrial dysfunction. The friend gave me a number to check if the disease has been correctly identified, and I cast the following chart:

First I decided to check if the doctors  have diagnosed the patient correctly. If the 6th CSL is Mercury or is in Mercury's star; or if either the 6th CSL or the 6th CSL's starlord is posited in a dual sign (any one of them posited in a dual sign) then the doctor's diagnosis is wrong.

As is evident from the chart above, the 6th CSL itself is Mercury. Clearly the doctor's have been unable to figure about what exactly is the problem and are still on a hit and miss method.

Lets see if we can figure out what is happening. The 6th CSL is Mercury, which is posted in the star of Venus. The significations of Me are then: Me 1, 2 11; Venus 12, 3 10

Mercury implies communication. In this case, we would have to derive this to mean communication via nerves, ie the nervous system.Note, Mercury or 'Buddha' is also the 'Buddhi karaka', a significator of intelligence. Perhaps my friend isn't as sharp as earlier. Perhaps a bit more forgetful? Mercury is in the Ascendant. Ascendant implies the head or the brain. So this has something to do with the nervous system and brain.

Mercury is in Leo, Leo is a fire-y sign and indicates diseases of heart, blood pressure, immune system and spinal cord. She has no trouble of the heart so we will focus on the indication of immune system and the spinal cord. She does indeed face an extremely weakened immune system, and again we are getting spinal cord here...related to brain and nervous system.

Now lets look at the star of Me, Venus. Generally Venus suggests diseases that are caused due to overindulgence in  sweets/food or sex. Disease/ deformation of the sexual organs or venereal disease is another aspect of Venus. Eye diseases, skin diseases and diseases of the urinary gland or the uterus. In case of women it will also manifest in trouble during monthly periods. This is interesting because indeed my friend has experienced lack of periods for a long time now.

Venus is the 12th house, this indicates problem with foot or the right eye. This is not immediately, clear to me for now. Perhaps the chart is indicating problem in the part of the brain behind the right eye? I don't know for sure, so will leave at that.

Venus is posited in the sign Cancer. Cancer is a watery sign and deals with the mind. It also represents the liquids in our body. She is facing depression and perhaps the 'watery' element of Cancer is telling us of a hormonal imbalance in the body?

Venus is in rapt conjunction with the Sun. Sun is the head of the planetary cabinet. It gives life sustaining heat and light. Sun deals with the immune system and as the controlling 'planet' in our solar system, it has rulership over the control centres of the brain. Sun represents the 'spirit' or 'energy' of an individual.

We can also see Ketu posited in the 8th house, aspecting the Sun and Venus with its 5th 'drushti'. Ketu is the natural enemy of the Sun and perhaps this suggests that the Sun's natural function of keeping the body immune and energetic is not allowed to be done by it,

Ketu is incidentally the Dasha lord of when the chart was cast. Its significations are:
House posited: 8
Aspected by: Nil
Conjunct with (<4 deg): Nil
Star lord: 3, 6 7
House lord: Jupiter: 1, 5, 8; star of Ju (Ketu): 8

Interestingly Neptune is aspecting Mercury by its 7th aspect. Mercury is the 6th CSL. Neptune's mysterious nature has transferred to Mercury resulting in the massive diagnostic confusion.

As I said, I am not a doctor, but collating information, I feel the blood work results are the symptom and not the core cause of this issue. I think the core cause lies in some issue with the control centres of the brain and nervous system that is causing this immuno-deficiency, depression and other physical issues.

So will my friend be cured?

Cure is seen from the 6th CSL. The 6th CSL must be in the star of a direct planet and signify any one or more of these houses 1/5/11.

A patient will be fully cured in the Dasha and Bhukti of planets, each of which signifies BOTH 5th AND 11th houses. If only one of the two houses (5/11) are signified, then the patient is not fully cured but obtains temporary relief and the condition can be managed somewhat.

The 5th CSL is Mercury. Mercury is posited in the star of Venus. Venus is retrograde as at the time of the Prashna. I check to see if there is any other planet that is also in Venus's star as if more than one planet is in star of a retrograde planet, then we can relax this retrograde rule. However, no such luck. Only Mercury is in the star of a retrograde planet. The condition is not fully curable. :(

What sort of treatment will be useful?

Treatment is seen from the 5th CSL. In my friend's case the 5th CSL is Rahu, which suggests that Unani treatment is best for her. Also, Rahu is in the star of Sun, which suggests Allopathy or western medicine is appropriate for her. Rahu's being in Mercury's sign may also say that Ayurveda will be of help. Since 5th CSL, Rahu is posited in Virgo, a dual sign, this means she can try multiple types of treatment at the same time.

The 6th CSL being Mercury, I can also suggest that she change the doctor who had given her current diagnosis. If not change, at least get a second opinion.
