Words of appreciation!

These are kind words from a client of mine who had originally consulted me in November regarding his career. He had just been told that his project was coming to an end and feared losing his job in the new year.

My prediction was that he would not lose his employment and a project would be assigned to him in February. I also told him that his Mars period was stronger than his current period and would thus translate into an even better job. I had also predicted that the next project would be at a far away place.

The gentleman wrote to me yesterday indicating that all my predictions had come correct, virtually to the date. It does feel nice to receive kind words of appreciation from strangers and a sense of having contributed even a small % to someone's courage and happiness.

I am very happy for this person and pray to God that I continue to be accurate with my predictions going forward as well.

A screenshot of the email I received and my reply below?

Will I get married to a particular girl?

A client had written to be last month with a query on whether he would get married to a particular girl from his workplace with whom he had an ongoing relationship.

In such type of questions its it important to remember the following rules:

1) Atleast one of the 7th cuspal sublord (CSL) and/or the star lord of the 7th CSL should be posited in a fixed sign. The other can be in a movable sign;

AND

2) Neither the 7th CSL nor the starlord of the 7th CSL should be posited in a dual sign;

AND

3) Neither the 7th CSL nor the starlord of the 7th CSL should be Mercury;

AND

4) The 7th CSL or the starlord of the 7th CSL must signify 2/7/11.

Here, we can that the 7th CSL is itself Mercury and thus, we can safely say that the marriage with that particular will NOT HAPPEN.

So who will back out?

If the 5th CSL signifies the 6th house, then the opposite party backs out (since 6th is the 12th to the 7th). If the 5th CSL signifies the 12th, then the questioner himself will back out of the relationship. If it had signified either 11th or 7th WITHOUT signifying 6th or 12th then the relationship would have culminated into marriage.

Here we can see that the 5th sub is Moon. Moon is posited in the star of Saturn.

Moon is in the 12th cusp and owns the 5th. Saturn is posited in the 8th cusp  and owns 11th and 12th. While Moon signifying the 11th cusp allowed the love to blossom to a certain extent, its signification of the 12th means that it will not end in marriage. The questioner himself will back out of the relationship.

We can also cross check using Nadi methodology. The significators are below:

The ongoing DBA is Sa-Sa-Ve. Sa has the full combination of marriage denial 1 6 10 at the sub level. Venus has the full combination of marriage denial at the star level. As such it is clear that the questioner will not get married to that particular girl he had questioned me about.

Who will win the Big Boss Finale tonight? An astrological perspective.

Bigg Boss 9, also known as Bigg Boss: Double Trouble,  is the ninth season of the Indian reality TV series Bigg Boss that premiered on 11 October 2015 on Colors TV. Salman Khan returned to host the ninth season. Big Boss itself is the Indian version of the Big Brother franchise that keeps a bunch of people in a house and viewers relish the tamasic pleasure of seeing the group slowly go bonkers :)

Today is the finale of the season where the final winner of the remaining four contestants, who are:

Prince Narula
Mandana Karimi
Rochelle Rao
Rishabh Sinha

People who know me will attest that I do not even have cable TV so I don't watch anything on it, much less this show. As such I am completely unbiased towards whoever wins or loses. So I decided to try to see if astrology can inform me of the winner beforehand.

I took a number between 1 and 249 for each of the four contestants and got the following significators for the DBA (DBA for all is Ju-Mo-Ra):

:

Right off the bat we can eliminate Prince Narula and Mandana Karimi as potential winners. While Narula has positive Dasha lord significations, the 6 12 and 6 8 significations in Bhukti and Antara respectively make a victory difficult to see. Mandana has no positive houses in her Dasha significations and a straight out 8 12 in her Bhukti. A solitary 11 in her Antara will not be enough I would think.

Rochelle Rao (RR) and Rishabh Sinha (RS) would like take the first two positions, but who will take which position. Thats a bit more challenging.

RS has a strong 6 11 combination in Dasha which is comparable with a 2 6 10 11. He has a positive Bhukti with a 2 10 combination. The Antara is also positive with a 1 6 combination.

RR has a super strong Dasha with full significations of 2 6 10 11. The Bhukti is slightly negative with an 5 8, but again the Antara is super strong with a 10 11 combination.

So I decided to look at it through K.P.

The 6th CSL for RS is Mars and Mars is in star of Rahu. The following are the significations.

Mars: 4, 6 11.
Rahu: 3,
Conjoined with Jupiter: 3, 7 10; 3, 7
Aspected by Nil
Starlord Sun: 3 7
Sign lord Mer: 6, 1 4; 6, 12 5

Since the 6th CSL signifies both sets of houses (winning and losing) we need to look at the 12th CSL, which is also Mars. Then we need  to look at the Dasha lord Jupiter. Jupiter is in Sun's star and its significations are:

3, 7 10; 3 7

This is a clear indicator for the victory of Rishabh, with only a positive house 10 (of 6 10 11) signified and no negative house of 4 5 12 being signified. So I would say that Rishabh has a strong chance of winning Big Boss season 9.

Just to run a cross check I decided to check the same for Rochelle below:

The 6th CSL for RR is Mars and Mars is in star of Rahu. The following are the significations.

Mars: 11, 6 1
Rahu: 10,
Conjoined with Jupiter: 10, 2 5; 2 10
Aspected by Nil
Star lord Sun 2 10
Sign lord Mer: 2, 8 11; 1, 7 12

Since the 6th CSL is signifying both positive (6 10 11) and negative houses (4 5 12), we have to see the 12 CSL. The 12th CSL is the 6th CSL for the opposition (7th cusp). The 12th CSL is Sun, which is in its own star so we need to look at the Sub lord (Ve). The sigs for Sun are then:

2, 10; 1, 7 12

Again, the 12th CSL is signifying a positive (10) and a negative (5) house, though the negative is signified more strongly.

This means, we need to look at the Dasha lord, Jupiter. Jupiter is in Sun's star. So the significations are:

10, 2 5; 2 10

Again, it is signifying both a positive and a negative house. So we will need to look at the Bhukti lord, Moon. Moon is in Jupiter's star. So its significations are:

8, 9; 10, 2 5

Again, this is not helping, so we need to look at Antara lord, which is Rahu. We know Rahu has both sets of houses signified so we need to see....

This can go on to Sookshma and Prana level, but given the clear indication of victory in Rishabh's chart and the unclear reading of Rochelle's I think I have put in enough intellectual rigor at this point to say that Rishabh will be the winner of Big Boss Season 9.

Will my investor actually invest?

This query came from a friend who had won a government project and had lined up an investor to see the project through to completion. The investor however was shying away from actually investing and was not even backing out. So this put my friend in a quandary and he asked me this Q with the seed number 156. I cast the following chart:

To check if money will come in, we have to first examine the 6th CSL. This is because 6th cusp represents expense/ outflow/ investment for the opposite party as it is the 12th from the 7th cusp. The house grouping necessary for the funds to come in are 6th (expense of opposite party), 2nd (natives wealth) and 11th (gain to native).

6th CSL is Mars. Mars is in the star of Rahu. Now let us examine the significations.

Mars is posited in the 11th house and owns the 1st and the 6th cusp through sign lordship. Its star lord Rahu's significations are as follows:
House posited: 10
Conjoined with Ju: 10, 2 5; Ju's starlord (Sun) 2, 10
Aspected by Sa: 1, 3 4; Sa's starlord (Me) 2, 8 11
Rahu's starlord (Sun): 2, 10
Sign lord (Sun): 2, 10; Su's starlord (Ke*):

Sun is in its own star hence taking it Sublord as its Starlord

Ketu's significations are as follows:
House posited: 4
Conjoined with: Nil
Aspected by Ju: 10, 2 5; Ju's starlord (Sun) 2, 10
Ketu's starlord (Ju): 10, 2 5
Sign lord (Sa): 1, 3 4; Sa's starlord (Me) 2, 8 11:

So the final significations for Mars are: 11, 1 6; 1 2 3 4 5 8 10 11. It is thus amply clear that the 6th CSL strongly argues for the investment to actually materialise. Not only is 2 6 11 signified by Mars, it also signifies supporting houses of 1, 3 and 10.

However, now we need to check the DBAs for timing. The ongoing DBA is Ra-Ve-Ra. As seen above, Rahu strongly signifies the needed houses 2 and 11. Now we need to check if Venus will allow this event to take place.

Venus is posited in 1st cusp and owns 7 and 12. It is in the star of Ketu thus signifying the houses 2 and 11 strongly. As such we can see that Venus too allows the event.

But ongoing Rahu Antara runs till June 6, 2016. Can we further pinpoint the event? My friend needs to start work on the project before the end of February, so roughly a month from now. As such we need to see the transit of Moon to pinpoint the event.

I looked at the Ruling Planets of the time of examining the chart. They are:

Asc sign lord: Mars
Moon star lord: Rahu
Moon sign lord: Mercury
Day lord: Venus

Readers will find it interesting to note that our DBA and 6th CSL finds mention in the ruling planets! This gave me further confidence that the event will come to pass soon.

Moon will pass in the Sign of Venus and Star of Rahu on 31st January and 1st Feb 2016. That is when the person should give money to my friend.

Divorce?

The following was a question asked through an online forum:

For divorce
17.feb.1991
07:55am
Ujjain
Is divorce possible, if yes, then when

The following was my answer:

I took up examination of this Q at 3.56PM today. The prime cusp that we are concerned with is the 7th, since the Q pertains to marriage. The 7th CSL as per the given time is Jupiter. The RPs at 3.56 PM were: Me, Ve, Su, Ma. Since the 7th CSL does not appear in the RPs, the birth time is perhaps not entirely correct. The 7th CSL appears in the Leo sign at 21:17:23, so Su-Ve-Ju. The nearest planets that appear around that degree location that also appear in the RPs are at time 8:04:30 AM (Me) and at 7:45 (Mars). If I change the timing to reflect 8:04, then the resultant horoscope does not seem to indicate major problems in marriage. So I rectified it to 7:45, thus making Mars the 7th CSL. Now time rectification was over.

As per Shahasane, the 7th CSL must be connected to either Me/ Ju in any way and also become a significator of the 3rd house, for legal separation to occur. The 7th CSL here is Mars, situated in the sub of Jupiter. Also, Mars is placed in the 3rd house and also owner of the 3rd house. So both conditions are satisfied. Thus there is 'possibility' of divorce there.

Let us examine the health of Mars for the married life. Mars is posited/ owns 3rd and also owns the 10th house. Mars is in the star of Moon which is placed in 1st house and owns the 6th. Thus at a stellar level, Mars is straight negative for marriage. In fact marriage was possible only because Mars signified the 7th and 11th cusps through its 4th and 8th aspects. But overall, married life has been tough. This is supportive of the 'possibility' of the divorce. Another interesting angle I see here is that the house group 5 8 12 signified in about 4-5 planets. Indicating that there may be an extra-marital angle to the issues that have cropped up in the marriage. I hope I am wrong in this.

The next Q is when? Currently, the native is in the Dasha of Mercury. Mercury signifies 10 through its stellar signification. The current Bhukti is Venus. Venus is posited in 1st house but through its starlord Jupiter it strongly signifies 2 and 11. To add to this, Venus is the natural significator of marriage. As such divorce in the current Bhukti seems difficult (should the native choose to go down this route). After May 2017 Sun Bhukti starts. So somewhere around May 2017.

However, coming to a more practical aspect, while problems are denoted in marriage in multiple planets, there is also a string of 2s and 7s and 11s scattered throughout. If indeed there is an extra marital issue, my position would be to sort it out and get back to his grihasta dharma asap instead of going for a legal separation. Yes problems will be there, but that is what life is.

Two marriages?

On one of the astrology discussion groups I follow on Facebook (Sanjivani Astrology), I saw a person putting up this query with the following birth details:

October 2, 1984
11:55PM
Delhi

I cast the following chart:

Since this is a birth chart, there is always a chance that the time is off by a few minutes causing the cuspal sublords to change. Since the primary question to be addressed here deals with the 7th Cuspal sublord we need to ensure that the 7th CSL is perfect. There is a simple way to do this.

I noted down the Ruling Planets at the time of investigating this query (1:37PM, Pune, 15/1/2016):

Asc Sign lord: Mars
Moon star lord: Jupiter
Moon sign lord: Saturn
Day lord: Venus

The 7th CSL in the chart is Saturn, which appears in the Ruling planets. As such we can assume that the 7th CSL is correct and move ahead.

Two marriage basically means I need to check if remarriage possibility exists in this chart. The rules for that are:

1a) if 7th CSL is Mercury or in Me's star, or conjunct with Me or aspected by Me, then there is a chance of re marriage

OR

1b) If 7th CSL or the starlord of the 7th CSL (any 1 of these 2) is are posited in a 'ubhaya rashi' (Gemi, Virg, Sagi, Pisc), then also possibility of re marriage exists.

In addition to satisfying one of the two rules above, the following rule must be satisfied:

2) The 7th CSL (Sa in this case) MUST signify either 2nd or the 11th cusp (signifying 7th will not help, note).

Now let us look at this chart.

7th CSL is Saturn (confirmed using RPs). Saturn is posited in the 5th house (Libra sign), owns 8th and 9th. Saturn is in Jupiter's star. Jupiter is posited in the 6th cusp (Sagi sign) and owns 7th and 10th. In addition, Saturn signifies the following cusps by its 3rd, 7th and 10th aspects respectively: 7th, 11th and 10th.

Clearly, the chart is satisfying 1b and 2 rules above thus, it can be said that the horoscope is indicating the possibility of 2 marriages.

This is for academic purposes only.
