Applying research 2

This is another example on the same: Change of Job or Change of role question. This is the horscope and Nadi sigs of an old friend whose contract with a company is about to come to an end in December 2015 (exact date I don't know), when he will be running DBA of Ma-Ra-Ju:

Now this is a tough horoscope for a employee, see the number of 5 8 12s and 6 8 12s. But this has not caused him to lose his job and he too has been with the same company for about ten years though projects within the company have changed.

Now this example differs from the previous ones due  to the fact that the past horoscope had 5 9 combinations only, other than that the horoscope was quite good for career. But this one was 5 8 12 and 6 8 12s, some of the worst combinations possible from a career point of view.

So this is a test to check is my modified rule will hold. Will 5 8 12 translate to loss of job or will it translate to change in project, maybe to a one that pays less or in a disagreeable position or location, but no 'loss of job'.


Lets look at occupants and owners of 6 and 10 and their starlords. And we will also look at the relevant DBA lords:

Ve -> Su
Me -> Me
--
Ma -> Ve
Ra -> Ke
Ju -> Ve

Owners of 5th and 9th are Mars and Sun. Occupants of 5th are none and of 9th are Saturn.

Therefore ONLY Venus (since its starlord is Sun) if in DBA can cause change or loss of job (and that too if the transits support), that is the theory.

Since the contract is ending in the DBA of Ma-Ra-Ju there is unlikely to be a job loss for the person and will mostly only face a transfer. In fact Bhukti lord Rahu is natural karaka for foreign travel (he is already abroad so this may mean another country) and it signifies 3 9 12 (travel abroad) and 3 5 (change in residence). The 5 8 12 and 6 8 12 may mean tough work, office politics and a bad boss, NOT A JOB LOSS IN DECEMBER.

The period the native needs to be careful is during the Venus Antara which is from 4th June to 5th Aug 2016, especially since Saturn is retrograde then and the native is running Sade Sati. 

Applying research

Let me try to apply the research from the previous post to a real life case. Someone who has been in service with the same company for decades is facing possible retrenchment on Jan 1, 2016 and asked me for my astrological opinion.

Basically there is a slight chance that the person may be transferred but if there is no requirement elsewhere then the company will retrench. So I had to check if the transfer will come through or there will be loss of job.

Here is the chart and Kp and Nadi significators below:

Note that five planets have a straight 5 9 combination and the balance 4 planets have either a 5 or a 9 combination. Yet, this person stuck to a single employer for decades, not just years! How?

Lets look at the 6th and 10th houses, their occupants, lords and -> their star lords

Su -> Ra

Ju -> Sa

Neither Rahu nor Saturn own or occupy the 5th or the 9th house. Hence the 5 9s will translate into change or projects or roles instead of change of employers. This I confirmed with the native who did admit to many, many changes of roles.

Now to answer the persons question, will he be fired on 1 Jan 2016 or will he be transferred. We need to look at the DBA prevailing on that date, it is: Mo-Su-Ve. Now lets look at their starlords:

Mo - > Me

Su -> Ra

Ve -> Me

Neither Me not Ra occupy or own the 5th or the 9th house. Additionally, Moon's dasha ends on 6th Jan 2016 after which Mars Dasha starts. Mars is even more positive for career than Moon. So the chances of this person being unemployed are very low. Even if he loses his job, he might find another one in the very next month, ie. February.

If however, my modification of KP's rule and my integration of KP with Nadi is correct, then the gentleman will not lose his job at all. In fact the prevalence of 5 9, 3 5, 3 9, 9 12 suggest that there is a change of residence that is likely to happen (3 5), a change of project (5 9) and transfer to another country (3 9 12). The presence of a separative planet (Sun) in the DBA suggests that the transfer will likely be to a far away place.

Lets see what happens. 

Research: Job change or Role change?

This is a question that comes up several times in my study of astrology. Let me first address it in terms of Nadi astrology.

As per Nadi astrology, the combination of job change is 5 9. 5 is 12th from 6th (prime house of service) and 12th from 10th (prime house of status). So a person changes his job when separative planets (Sun, Rahu, Ketu, Saturn) appear in DBA and DBA planets have combination of 5 9. Nadi also says that someone with a lot of 5 9s will always be in the mood to shift jobs.

Now look at these significators below from someone I know:

Apart from Sun, Mars and Jupiter, every planet signifies 5 9. Surely such a person must be a corporate job hopper isnt it? But the reality is no, she isnt. In fact in her career of 8 years she has changed just one company. She used to work in Company X which she left on 11th August 2008 and joined her current company Y, where she is till present.

This goes squarely against what a Nadi astrologer would expect. But on closer enquiry, I realised that within the same company, in the last 7 years this lady has shifted 6 roles. So roughly a change each year. So clearly 5 9s have worked but not to change her employer, but only her role within the company. How to distinguish between this change in job vs. change in role now is the question.

Krishnamurti Paddhati says (as per Shahasane), a native leaves a job if the Dasha or Bhukti lord is a planet that is either posited in the 6th cusp or the 10th cusp or owns the 6th cusp or the 10th cusp AND is in the star of a planet that is either posited in the 5th cusp or the 9th cusp or owns the 5th cusp or the 9th cusp.

Now this is the chart of the lady above:

The planets in and owning 6th/10th house and their starlords are given below:

Ma -> Ma

Ve, Sa, Me, Su, Mo -> Sa

So Mars and Saturn are the key planets we need to see. Neither planet is owns 5th house or 9th house or is an occupant of 5th house or 9th house. 

Thus despite the high number of 5 9 Nadi combinations, the native has not changed jobs but roles. 5 9s have operated in a different way.

But by this logic, the native should not have changed ANY job. So how did the change happen in Aug 2008. Let us see the DBA in operation then, it was Me-Ra-Mo.

Starlords of the above DBA planets are Saturn, Venus, Saturn.

As seen earlier, Saturn is neither owner of, not occupant of 5th or 9th cusp. But Venus, owns both 5th and 9th cusps and thus, Rahu becomes a planet that can cause a change in job. But Rahu has no connection with the 6th or the 10th house. Then what happened? Hence I add my own modification of this rule, that NOT JUST THE PLANETS IN THE 10th OR 6th OR LORDS THEREOF ARE TO BE CONSIDERED, BUT THE DBA PLANETS TOO MUST BE CHECKED FOR A CONNECT TO 5 and/or 9, AS STATED IN KP. 

In addition that transits must be checked for the event to actually happen. Afterall the lady did not shift jobs in every Antara or bhutki of Rahu.

The transit chart as of the date of her leaving job was as follows:

As can be seen, Nadi transit conditions are being clearly satisfied. Three planets (Me, Ve, Sa) which signify 5 9 are conjunct in a house AND the Antara lord (Mo) is the star owned by Rahu which is another 5 9 signifying planet.  

A way to test this would be to check when Rahu will figure in next in the native's DBA. Currently she is running the DBA of Ke-Mo-Mo. Ke-Mo-Ra will begin on 6th November 2015 and last till 8th December 2015.

Interestingly on 6th November itself, Mo Ve, Ra, ie 3 planets with the 5 9 combination are transiting the 5th house in the transit chart. On 8th November Venus and Rahu are conjunct within a degree in Virgo and also the Transit Mercury is conjunct with Natal Ketu both planets allowing event to happen). 

So overall based on the new rule the native should shift jobs in the Rahu Antara this time between 6th November and 8 December 2015.

So we surmise the following:

1) Nadi 5 9s only suggest a change in role and not necessarily a change in job

2) A change in job will occur only when KP rule is satisfied. While KP rule is restricted to occupants and owners of the 6th /10th house, my modification is that we need to also run the test for DBA planets as well.

3) Final fructification of event will depend on transit rules getting satisfied.

When will I get my money back!?

A friend called me yesterday about a sum of money that was lent to another friend of hers. Now the other person is unable  to return it for some reason and my friend is understandably worried. She asked me by when will the money be returned to her and gave me the seed of 88. I cast the following chart:

Generally all questions regarding income of money are to be seen from the 6th house. Why? because 6th is the 12th from the 7th. Unless the person opposite (7th) faces loss (12th) how will you get money?

The sublord of the 6th house is Mercury. That immediately told me two things: 1. The sum of money is not huge and 2. the money would come in 2 or more installments, not altogether.

But will the money come at all?! Mercury is in the star of Moon. Moon is placed in the 7th house and owns 12th. This means mean Moon suggests the opponent and the opponents gain (12th is 6th for the 7th).

Mercury itself is placed in the 2nd house (of wealth) and owns 11th (gain for the native).

So I surmised that the native will get her money back but it will come in installments and not all together.Also it is possible that the entire sum will not be received as the 6th CSL Mercury is also strongly suggesting a gain for the opposite party.

When?

Krishnamurti says that for events expected to occur in a month, we need to look at the Moon's transit. The ongoing Dasha is of Rahu, Rahu is placed in Virgo, so we will need to consider Mercury instead. The ongoing Bhukti is of Jupiter. So we need to look when the Moon is going to transit a Mercury sign-Jupiter Nakshatra combination. Such a combination occurs in Gemini. Moon is transiting this on November 1, 2016. So atleast one of the installments will come on that day.

Interestingly, the girl was already slated to meet her friend on a completely unrelated matter on the 1st, this I didn't know. So lets see if she gets some of her money back then!

In an earlier post, I had mentioned that I could consider setting up an consultancy portal if I got an encouraging response. While the response was good, my other interests kept me from setting up the operations.

The website name is made up of two words, "Bhairavi" and "Uvacha". Hindu philosophy sees God as One but capable of assuming and being approached in many forms. Bhairavi is the Devi or the divine feminine. It is one my chosen forms of approaching divinity and I offer all my predictions at Her feet. The Sanskrit word "Uvacha" roughly translates to "Says" or "Said".

How will dynasty's day in court be?

Today the so-called matriarch and the prince of the dynasty that erstwhile ruled India are to begin trial in an Indian court for a large scale scam known as the National Herald scam. All legal tricks are in play to delay the court date and even get a different judge. I was curious to see how the day in court would go for the dynasty. Of course one cannot expect a judgement today or even in the next year given the pace of justice in India (in public perception atleast), but one can check how the day will go for the defendants, positively or negatively. 

I cast the following chart:

The primary house of litigation is the 6th house. The 6th CSL is Saturn. Saturn is placed in its own star.

As per Nadi rules, litigation will happen only when RA/KE/SA are in DBA. The ongoing DBA is Ju-Sa-Ke, so this condition is satisfied.

Jupiter signifies 8 12, Saturn 6 12 and Ketu 6 8 12 the complete combination of litigation. As such this day will not be a clear win for the dynasty. However, it wont be a clear loss either, as there are stray 11's in each of the DBA planets. So I think the day in court will be quite negative for dynasty but they will get some key relief, it could come in the form of another delay in the court date or an exemption from personal appearance or both. 

But on balance it will not be a victorious day for the dynasty.

If we look at it from KP, the 6th CSL is Saturn. Saturn is placed in its own star so as per Shahsane, we will take the sublord as the star lord, so the pair becomes Sa-Ve. Ve is placed in 12th house and owns 3 and 10. Saturn is placed in 3rd house and owns 6 and 7. So Saturn is a strong significator of the 12th house but also of the 6th and 10th house. So again  a sort of balanced day but tending towards the negative for the dynasty as Sa is a stronger significator of the 12th (Vyay Sthan) than the 6th (victory over opponent sthan)

Lets see what happens in a few hours.

Marriage prediction

A friend living abroad and keen to get married wanted to know when the marriage would be fixed. I decided to work out the date as below:

The above are the KP significators taken using Shri Hasbe's method outlined in his book Vedh Nakshatracha on page 57.

The first two lines in each planet signify which of which houses the planets will give results (planets will give results of only the strongly significated houses. The next two lines show how the results would be favourable or non favourable.

The current Dasha is of Venus. Venus will primarily deliver the results of the 11th house (2 7 11 are favourable houses for marriage, 1 6 10 oppose). 11th house is gain. Gain of what? We need to look at strong houses of the next two lines.They are 1 2 5 and 7. While 1 opposes marriage both 2 and 7 are favourable and 5th is also a corroborative house indicating love and children. So Venus is very positive for marriage.

On the other hand look at Rahu. Rahu will not offer any results related to marriage as it is a strong karara for the 12th house, which at the margin is negative for marriage.

In the same way I derived that the following planets are positive for marriage: Mo Ma Ju Ve Sa Ke

Now to look at transits. I am going to do a bit of an experiment. I will use Nadi transits in conjunction with KP significations. Lets see how this works out!

The native is currently in DBA of Ve-Mo-Ve till 10th Dec 2015. As we saw earlier this is a favourable period.

Interestingly, a  good period for marriage for the native has already begun on Aug 17, 2015 as per Nadi transits:

As of 17th Aug, Saturn, Mars and Venus aspects the 2nd house.

On 2nd Sept transiting Venus and Mars come within 1 degree of each other in the cancer sign. This is a key date for her.

As of 13th Sept, Venus and Mars were aspecting the 2nd house, Ketu was aspecting the 11th house and Saturn as aspecting the 2nd house. Venus and Mars are posited in the 7th house.

On 28th Sept, Venus, Mars and Jupiter transit the 7th house in the transit chart. On Oct 1, the three planets, Venus, Mars and Jupiter are conjoined in the same house (Leo) while in the 7th sign.

On 9th/ 10th Oct, the transiting moon conjoins with these three planets.

On 16-22 October, Mars and Jupiter are less than 1 degree apart or thereabouts.

Overall, from today's date (6th Oct 2015) to November 2, 2015, is a very good time for her marriage to be fixed. I await the invite!

Lost my job, when will I get the next one?!

Someone I know was recently a victim of office politics and lost his job. He was understandably curious on what the future held for him and with a housing loan to pay off it was necessary to get a job asap.

I decided to examine his birth horoscope:

The native is currently in the DBA of Sa-Ve-Ra till 24/11/2015. After that, the antara of Ju will start and go on till 26/4/2016. After that is Saturn which will go on till 26-10-2016.

I looked at the KP significators

Houses pro-employment are 2 6 10 11 and houses opposed are 1 5 9 

Houses 8 12 show that expected happiness will not come through any event, even this ie job.

The ongoing Dasha is of Saturn. Saturn is a strong significator of the 11th and 2nd house through occupation and ownership of its starlord. Saturn is posited in the star and Sub of Venus. Venus also signifies 2 6 and 10 houses. However Venus is a stronger significator of the 12th house. So while job is not denied, there will be some problems in the job and the native should gear up to face these issues.

The ongoing Bhukti is of Venus. As seen earlier Venus signifies both positive and negative houses. Venus is in Ketu's star and Rahu's sub. Both Rahu and Ketu signify at least one of the required houses of  2 6 10 11 so again the Bhukti will not deny the job.

The ongoing antara is of Rahu, Rahu signifies 2 6 11. Rahu is in Jupiters star and Venus' sub. Both planets signify the relevant house grouping.

So Sa-Ve-Ra is a good time for the native to get a job. For pinpointing the date we need to look at the transit. Basically a transit when a planet passes through the Sign-Star combination of Saturn-Venus. However such a combination does not exist. Neither does the combination of Venus-Saturn. 

So I looked at the ruling planets at the time of judgement which is 10:40AM, Pune, on 3rd Oct 2015: Mars, Mars, Venus, Saturn.

Majority of the planets are fast moving ones, so I am guessing that the job situation should be sorted out soon. 

Now among these ruling planets I have to choose a sign which has the star of the Dasha lord (Saturn) in it. Mars has Saturn owned star in the Scorpio sign. 

Since Jupiter (the next antara) is not positive for the job, I have to look for transits in this antara itself (ie. Rahu). From 19th November to 24th November, Mercury transits the Mars-Saturn combination and the native should get a job during this period.

Combining the results with a horary study I did, (details not given here for paucity of time), I gave the following period for getting the job back: 19th November to 16th December 2015.
